Vashon Island’s Satellite Dishes

This past weekend I visited Vashon Island. For those who don’t know, the Puget Sound has dozens of islands that are accessible, and not accessible. Vashon Island is inhabited island with two ferry terminals (one from Tacoma, another from West Seattle). I’ve explored the island once or twice before, but I never stopped off anywhere to take photos.

This photo below is from the behind the old KIRO building off the main road that navigates through the island. According to this website, it was built in 1941 and the first 50,000 watt radio station west of the Mississippi River. Go to the site to read-up, pretty neat info.

This is a 3-shot HDR, processed in Photomatix and then I used Viveza 2 to do additional touch-up within the strength. You can see the entire set here.
