Some time last week my friend Katelyn through out the suggestion of a sunrise shoot at the lighthouse in Mukilteo.  5:30am came early on Saturday, but the drive was quick and the americano was delicious (thank you Red Cup!).

Alas, we were not treated to a sunrise light show, as we were socked in with cloud coverage but no liquid sunshine (thats rain for non-Seattlites). While you aren’t allowed to get up front and personal with the lighthouse, since its active and the keeper and 2nd in command live right next to it year round. We discovered you are able to walk around it in the pitch black and that is where I came away with this shot. I turned to the side and saw this view you see above.
